One of my greatest fears is the future.
The unknown is a powerful force and controlling it is easier said than done. Personally, my mind tries to create certainty out of uncertainty as much as possible. As I start worrying about the future it only gets worse – organizing every aspect of my life into an item on my to-do list.
Now imagine this to-do list stretching ten years into the future. The result is an unrealistic expectation that my life can be planned in an instant. However, unpredictability is what makes life so beautiful.
Like a train confined to one long track, it’s important to embrace the process rather than try to get from A to Z instantly. After all, the mistakes and lessons learned along the way are the foundation of a successful life.
